What actually happens in a class
A room where every kid fits.
Some mini-artists walk in loud and start talking before they've got their apron on. Some take three weeks before they say anything at all. Both belong here, and both go home with something they made.
There are no marks, no grades and nobody comparing work across the table. It's just your mini-artist, professional student quality materials and an artist who knows how to use them.
Skills are taught by real artists. They'll experiment with oil pastel, ceramic clay, acrylics, watercolour, ink, graphite, Posca and textiles, worked into finished artworks. Your mini-artist will walk out able to do things they couldn't do the week before.
And the mess stays with us. We wash the brushes, we mop the floor, we deal with the clay. You get the artwork and a kid who's already asking about next week.

We run classes at three places across the Gold Coast. Most run at Mudgeeraba, with Monday afternoons at Currumbin and Tuesdays at Elanora.
Art Techniques
A different medium every few weeks, so they get to find out what they actually love. The best place to start if you're not sure yet.

The same class, at Gecko Hall. One session a week, Monday afternoons.
Mondays 3:30–4:30pm • Ages 5–12 • $26 a class
ElanoraArt Techniques
A two-hour session at The Makers Space, Elanora State School. Longer than our standard class, so they get to complete more pieces throughout the term.
Tuesdays 3–5pm • Ages 5–12 • $38 a class
Mudgeeraba and CurrumbinPottery & Sculpture
The whole process, from a lump of clay to a glazed piece they can drink out of. Practising hand-building, carving, glazing and firing.
Mondays at Currumbin, Thursdays at Mudgeeraba • Ages 7–14 • $27 a class
MudgeerabaStreet Art
Layered acrylics, Posca markers and large-scale work with street artist Gilly AfterDark. They'll paint bigger than they ever get to at home.
Fridays and Saturdays • Ages 5–15 • $24.50 a class
MudgeerabaDrawing & Manga
Character design, dynamic poses, inking and shading. For the mini-artist who has a head full of characters.
Fridays and Saturdays • Ages 8–14 • $22 a class
MudgeerabaTiny Artists
Sensory, sculptural and hands-on, built for kids who don't love sitting still. Watercolour, collage, tempera and clay.
Thursdays 1:30–2:30pm • Ages 4–8 • $150 for the 6 week term
MudgeerabaHomeschool Science & Art
Six weeks where the science is the art. Mini-artists will explore STEAM projects without even realising they're learning.
Mondays 1–3pm • Ages 5–12 • $35 a class

Teens working independently on their own pieces and building a portfolio that holds up. By application.

Homeschool
Homeschooling? We run daytime classes.
Monday afternoons at Mudgeeraba, science and art together. In this exciting and immersive 6-week course, students will embark on a journey that combines the curiosity of science with the creativity of art!
Just like scientists, artists also experiment, test their ideas, and explore new concepts. Through hands-on activities, students will uncover the fascinating ways in which these two worlds intersect, all while creating their own unique masterpieces.
Thursday afternoons we run Tiny Artists for the little ones. An exploration of colour, shape, texture and basic art techniques to get them ready to graduate into our regular art techniques classes.

The Makers Space. Tuesday afternoons, two-hour sessions.

Ninety minutes, up to 16 kids, a private creative workshop and every scrap of glitter stays in our studio. Clay, canvas or crafty. From $360.

We offer scholarships every term for kids who need art in their lives and cannot afford it. No forms, no means testing, just tell us the story.
