Expressive Sculpture Artwork, Clay and reclaimed items, Wed 22nd Jan, 1-3pm, 5-12yrs
Miss Michaela’s expressive art workshops have been such a hit, we’re taking them into 3D. In this workshop mini-artists will experiment with air dry clay, marshmallow clay, beads, feathers, stamps and reclaimed items such a chopsticks, fabric and plastic to create a sculpture with no expected outcome.
The practice of encouraging children to let go of outcome, to experiment and create for the joy of it, and concentrate on process rather than end goals is well known to reduce anxiety, improve relaxation and increase analytical problem solving skills.
